What’s coaching?
At its core, coaching is a partnership that heightens self-awareness.
A coach recognizes you have all the answers and helps you navigate towards them.
I used to think of coaching as something executives or athletes needed to level up, and while this may be true, that’s just a sliver of what coaching can do.
Coaching brings people home to themselves.
It connects people to who they are, what they really want, need, stand for, value, and perhaps most importantly, to their own knowing, a feeling of what is right for them. When you know who you are, you can shape your own becoming.
You can design your life. Emphasis on your life, the one that is as unique as you are, that fills you with purpose and meaning.
It’s not all rainbows and donuts, but also requires diving into the mud, traipsing in the darkness, and sometimes breaking down to breakthrough.
What’s the difference between coaching & therapy?
I am not a licensed therapist, but a certified coach. Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
Generally speaking, therapy looks back to root causes, and coaching happens in the now, exploring how what’s here now can shape what’s coming next.
In other words, coaching is present and future-focused, while therapy often explores the past.
What is your style of coaching?
I believe that you (people) are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. You have all the answers, and I am your guide to them.
As a Co-Active coach, I hold and co-create a safe space for courageous exploration. This includes deep listening, powerful questioning, and evoking transformation.
I am a collaborative, open, creative, conspiratorial coach and partner - conspiring for your highest joy and biggest dreams.
I offer a space where you can truly be yourself - and create from that place.
Why are your fees high?
I used to ask the same question. I remember when I first had to invest $5,000 in one installation (many followed) in myself, and I found it triggering.
When I dug deeper, I realized I didn’t see myself as an asset to be invested in (or the potential for wild returns), and to boot I had old money gremlins and limiting stories holding me back.
I got through them, and have learned that myself and my life are worth investing in, and I continue to do so through trainings, my own coach, and a therapist (a full package;).
So ultimately, the fees are what they are because this is the first step (a big coaching moment) in learning that you’re worth investing in. By doing so, you will take the work and yourself way more seriously and get the results you want.
And they’re also what they are because I place a healthy value on myself and what I offer.
Would I be locked in the contract?
No, neither of us will be.
We both may terminate the agreement at any time with 4 weeks’ notice.
All coaching services to date will need to be paid.
Do you guarantee results?
No. This is your journey, and you own your results and success. You are responsible for your outcomes.
This is an empowering process and can only be so if you are deeply committed and take ownership of your growth.
This also means if the coaching isn’t working as you expected or desired, you will communicate and take action.
That said, coaching is proven to work when there are two factors present:
1. You, as the client, are willing to grow.
2. There is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
What is your cancellation/late policy?
Cancellations that are less than 24 hours before a session, including no shows and requests to reschedule, will be counted as a paid session, unless it is an emergency.
Cancelling or rescheduling more than 24 hours in advance incurs no fee.
If I need to cancel our appointment, I will give you as much notice as possible and arrange a new time which is convenient for you.
